Experience
I am currently a teaching assistant, working with undergraduate students on critical thinking and writing skills. I am working on my second master's degree in mass communication and journalism at ASU. Before that, I got my B.A. in comparative literature from Princeton, and a Master of Arts in Middle East and Arabic studies from Georgetown University. Before starting work on my second master's, I taught English literature and humanities courses to undergraduate students. I've also taught SAT prep, for verbal and writing sections, which are, in my opinion, the most fun parts of the exam. I have an active teaching style, and I aim to engage students all the way through the dynamic process of learning and crafting essays. I encourage students to ask a lot of questions, and I believe a great exchange can be found when both the tutor and the student contribute to the process and the conversation. I am interested in tutoring students in SAT prep, AP English, essay writing and editing, reading, literature, and European history, to name a few. In my spare time, I can be found drinking coffee, and staying active engaging in running, kickboxing, hiking, and exercise of all kinds.
